Hyerim Bae is a professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at Pusan National University (PNU), Korea. He received PhD, MS, and BS degree from the Industrial Engineering Department at Seoul National University (SNU), Korea.
He had been a manager of information strategic planning team at Samsung Card Corporation before he joined PNU. He has been an executive chair of AP-BPM Steering Committee since September 2012, committee chair of Busan Global Data Hub Center since July 2014 and a member of advisory board for Busan Metropolitan City since September 2016. He was recently a visiting scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology from March 2016 to February 2017. Currently, he is leading BAB project (http://www.babcloud.org) which is an open source operational big data analysis tool. His research interests are operational big data analytics, process analytics for Industry 4.0, big process platform development, smart factory, and logis-
tics information systems. He has published over 100+ journal papers and 140+ conference papers, wherein 30+ papers in SCI/E indexed journals, 20+ papers in Scopus indexed journals, 50+ papers in Korean domestic journals, 70+ papers in international conferences, and 60+ papers in Korean domestic conferences since 2004. Those papers are published in well-known journals: IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Industrial Ecology, Expert System with Applications, and many more.
He is currently an associate editor of International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control (IJICIC). He has been granted research funds for doing 30+ projects with topics related to IoT, smart factory and big data researches from Korean Government and enterprises. Currently, he is doing research projects with many large enterprises including Samsung Heavy Industry, Cyber Logitech, Busan Port Authority, etc. in the area of operational intelligence using big-data and process analytics techniques.
Futoshi Kuroki received the associate B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Kure National College of Technology, Japan, in 1980, the B.E. degree in electronics engineering from Kyusyu Institute of Technology, Japan, in 1982, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical communication engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. He has been with National Institute of Technology, Kure College, Hiroshima, Japan, where he is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He has been engaged in research work on electromagnetic devices, circuits, antennas, and systems.
Prof. Kuroki is a member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering (IEICE) in Japan, a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEEJ) in Japan, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in USA. He was Chair of the Technical Committee on Microwaves in IEICE, Japan from 2013 to 2014, Chair of the Investigative Committee on Innovative Electromagnetic Technologies and Their Applied Developments in IEEJ, Japan from 2012 to 2014, and Chair of IEEE MTT-S Japan Chapter from 2015 to 2016.
